For a cylindrical recharge structure,

For a cuboidal recharge structure,

If percolation is happening from all 5 sides,

Surface Area Recharge Capacity (cum) = 1{Length (l) X Breadth (b)} +2 {Length (l) X Height (h)} X 2{Breadth (b) X Height (h)}

If percolation is happening only from one side i.e. base,

Surface Area Recharge Capacity (cum) = 1{Length (l) X Breadth (b)}

For a cylindrical recharge structure,

If percolation is happening from all curvilinear side and base,

Surface Area Recharge Capacity (cum) = {3.14 X (Radius)² (r)} + {2 X 3.14 X Radius (r) X Effective Height (h)}

If percolation is happening only from one side i.e. base,

Surface Area Recharge Capacity (cum) = {3.14 X (Radius)² (r)}

Borewell recharge has not been considered as its percolation differs due to varying soil typologies
