This is a generic calculator to facilitate the user to design and evaluate their rainwater management system installation on site. The resulting values from the calculator should not be taken as final values. Before the implementation on site, project team must ensure that it is evaluated by a technical expert.
According to the Rain Water Harvesting and Conservation Manual, Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Government of India (GoI), the ideal conditions for rainwater harvesting for artificial recharge to groundwater requires the post monsoon water level to be more than 8 meters from the site’s ground level. As the post monsoon groundwater table of your site is less than 8 meters from the ground surface, recharge of groundwater is not required.
